English Setters
A Champion sired English Setter litter was born spring of 2011 they will be ready for homes on September 2011. One female puppy is still available. We are presently accepting applications for approval for prospective homes for this puppy and a future litter next spring to summer. Both parents are AKC registered and OFA hips/elbows. Each have been BAER tested for deafness and all puppies will be tested before placement. The sale of a puppy will include a health certificate, fecal exam, first distemper and kennel cough vaccine and a 1 year training program(value $550) at Finlayson's. Puppies will also have started crate training for easier transition to the new home. Puppies will be available to both pet/field and show homes but must live inside the house of the new owner. These puppies are born and raised in a loving home not a barn or kennel. Mary Finlayson is an experienced trainer who takes pride in working with the puppies before they leave. They are constantly exposed to different people, dogs and children. Tana, the mother, has worked with 4-H children, children with disabilities and in nursing homes with the elderly all of her life. Both adults and puppies are very well rounded and the pups would make a wonderful addition to many homes. Available Kittens - We have the friendliest 5 month old kittens. They are on the smaller side and we have had them since they were 3 weeks old. They purrr as soon as they see anyone and because they were raised around many dogs and people they are not shy at all. These are not the type of cats to hide when people come over they will out and in everyones lap. They have all been spayed and neutered, neg. fecal, no fleas, litterboxed trained, distemper shot, neg leukemia/aids test and health certificate. Adult Male Setter available. Benny is a wonderful dog that needs no training. He is not from our line of dogs but has been taken on as a rescue. His past owner have come into hard times and had to move to a place that benny could not go. He was very well taken care of and never abused in his passed home. He is very large and friendly. He loves children and other dogs. He is low energy and a little bit of a couch potatoe but is happy to go for a walk or play in the yard. He does however have a disability, he is deaf. This does not make it hard to own him except that he should not go off lead in an unfenced area. He is very quiet and hardly barks at all because he does not hear many of the sounds that alert dogs. For further information or if you would like to schedule an appointment to meet the Setters and Mary please feel free to call.
